Snapshot: Movie Review: The Hottie and the Nottie

Movie Review: The Hottie and the Nottie – Starring the amazing-fantastic-oh-so- (not)-great-Paris Hilton

Where do I begin? This overdone romantic story that has become the source of my tantrums. Nate, who has been searching for his childhood crush (the “hottie” Paris Hilton) finally meets her. Paris’s best friend (the “nottie” June) however, becomes a barrier to date the “hottie”. Even though Hilton may not be old people like Julia Roberts, she certainly passes for a demented center point of awful acting noobs. This horrific movie is not even worth it for an audience of one as you might deconstruct your face from anger. Yes, we do know drugs are bad for you, but bring on the narcotics for this hour and a half because I officially have sympathy for the devil now. Yeah, some critics might review this movie as “It’s big, it’s bold, it’s bubbly!” well, my question would be “what have you been drinking?”. This movie has created a new word in the English dictionary called “pontypoo”, yeah; it’s just that crappy. Like a bad movie, I’ll drop a line: Shit has compressed itself in one form: “The Hottie and The Nottie.

Mixed Up: Part B: Descriptive Paragraph

Longing for Love

In an uncertain world you lose sleep worrying about who will deceive or hurt you. Love can be found if you search the golden mines and rare plants found in the deepest of forests. Fail to search for it and you lose that companionship of love we all need, seek and hear our heart beg for. This powerful four letter word truly is one of the necessities of life. Love and hate? So different yet so very the same. A loved one can be told they are hated and vice versa, but is it really true? Through the nightmares that plead your sorrow, and the dreams that conquer your smiles, the people you love never go away. Be careful what you wish for because a soul can simply fade away. Don’t say a single word, and spare me the whispers of worry, just close your eyes and watch your loved one stay by your side.

Stream of Consciousness...

Book: The Missing
Author: Chris Mooney

A quotation from the novel that caught my attention:

"How did you become interesting? Was it something you were born with, like your hair colour or your height? Or did God decide for you? Maybe God chose who was interesting and who wasn't, and you just had to learn to live with whatever you were handed."

My continuation & spontaneous writing:

It is said that everyone is special in their own way. Well, I could simply agree and continue, however the word "everyone" lingers in my mind. No, not everyone is "special" in their own way, some are just the same, labelled as being bland and could be easily duplicated and placed in this world. You think I'm being too harsh? Well, don't you ever come across a person where the most in depth conversation you could ever have with them is "what homework do we have?". Or what about that person who rambles on and on about how (extremely boring) their day went? Yeah, I'm sure you've met one of those characters in your life, don't deny it.
Our life experiences make us who we are, without them we are bland, hence, un-interesting. With experience comes wisdom, which in turn makes us captivating. Our knowledge is a reward for our trials and tribulations which shape us into becoming interesting individuals.
I always wonder and wish I hadn't experienced such difficult moments in my life, but then I'd just be part of that "un-interesting" group I have previously mentioned. What history or advice can I give to a friend if I had never experienced sadness? Nothing. So If you ever feel blue, just remember what you're going through makes you an individual of character in the future. And if convincing yourself doesn't work, well, go skydiving or what have you, there's a story to share with the grandchildren.

The End.

Double Tongued Word Wrester & Language Monitor

The Unforgettable Dream

Graduation from high school was gratifying, yet the anticipation of starting university was overpowering me. I clenched my fists trying to supress my nervous emotions. Could I survive this new terrifying experience? I was about to find out.
September came, and before I knew it I was a shmen entering the scary place called university.
I proceeded to the admissions office where I was given my timetable along with a paper that included my dorm room number with all the rules and regulations. The dorm hallway was surpringly dark, with brick-style walls that were painted white. I gulped, closed my eyes for a second, then made my way to dorm room 333. As I entered the room, this mang came out of nowhere (weren't rooms supposed to be seperated according to sex? I wondered).
"She" began to look at me in this awkward manner. "What are you looking at?" she said. "Umm.. I'm your roomate, I suppose." I quickly blurted out. I began to look around the room. I had noticed that her side of the room included a mad number of obsene posters on the wall that made me feel sick to my stomach. I began to divert my attention to her. Her neck and body was completely covered in paint that finding an inch of her bare skin was my mission at the moment. She noticed my observations and flinched. The anger was evident in her eyes, and I knew at that moment she had the strength to salvage a human being.
I suddenly turned around to leave, but she quickly grabbed my arm so tightly I knew there was no way out.
